Future and Pepper join forces

UK/US production finance entity and London based post facility launches unique partnership

Film financier and producing entity Future Films has uniquely joined forces with London based post production facility Pepper to create a new joint venture.

This new alliance is a UK first in combining coordinated financing across development, production and post production services as well as expertise in distribution and international sales.  This waterfront of services offered across the two companies will make formulating and managing production budgets much easier for producers.

With over £1.1 billion already invested in feature film productions, Future Films' innovative financial strategies lead the market, making the most of the incentives available to the global film industry.

Although approximately 90% of Pepper’s business is across TV drama and popular programming where it offers a full service picture post production facility with HD and DI capabilities, it is building a healthy reputation in the independent film production sector for its work on titles such as Michael Winterbottom’s award-winning The Road to Guantanamo and Marc EvansSnow Cake

Future Films has recognised Pepper’s increasing expansion into film over the last couple of years and has carefully merged their own post production services - Future Post - into Pepper’s expansion programme and the growth of its brand.

“Pepper’s expertise and reputation in the field of Post Production is widely recognised and their proven track record in feature film DI and HD Broadcast Drama,” says Future Films’ Chief Executive, Stephen Margolis.  “This new partnership creates a very attractive service offering to our clients.”

Pepper Joint MDs Shane Warden and Patrick Holzen believe the joint venture brings together the two most difficult parts of film making – funding and finishing.  “We are delighted to partner Future Films in being able to offer such an innovative solution,” says Warden.  Holzen agrees - “Pepper is synonymous with quality and care. Our aim is to create a full service offering that understands the needs of modern productions.”
